Equipment before arriving at the covenant was usually heavy scale armor long sword and round shield.

Most will have at least 3 years non-soldiering experience. XP for those can be added manually or by using the packages below or others found in the grogs book. Really anything can be changed if you don’t wan’t to use this as a shortcut/
